“Why are you joking with me?” I reacted suddenly sooner I took the horoscope given by a client in Ambala. My abrupt reaction came as a shock to them. “How come, I am serious and need your guidance?” He took back the horoscope and looked at it. “Sorry! It is brought here by mistake, I thought it is mine but it is my dead relative’s horoscope”.

Their questions were answered but in the process I was not comfortable as I thought they were trying to test my knowledge.

The other person asked about his daughter’s marriage. I studied the chart and told them that I could not see any possibilities of her marriage in immediate future and it is going to take at least a year. They chuckled listening to my statement which made me feel very low. I kept quite when he told me that his daughter’s marriage has already been finalized with an IAS officer and that night he was supposed to fix their marriage date. I had nothing to say and maintained silence for sometime and then I told them that what they were saying may be correct but I see no such yoga (combinations of planets) in her horoscope. They went back but I was upset and my faith in Astrology was shaky. Every time one likes to taste your knowledge and you are never spared for any error.

One day one of my officers named Sqn.Ldr. Job Mathew questioned me, “Tell me, how we are going to perform in the range firing?”

Sqn.Ldr. Job Mathew was a very good officer and he had lot of faith in Astrology. Time to time he used to take my Astrological help for solving some of his problems. I always felt good to reply his queries, considering his interest and faith in Astrology. 

I made a horary chart on a small paper and gave him. I had written “very successful firing”. He laughed and kept the paper in his pocket. This incidence is of Hindon Airbase where I was posted in missile squadron. Like every year, my unit was going for range firing to Surya Lanka, Chirala. All missile squadrons were supposed to participate in target practice and they were tested for their efficiency and accuracy. My squadron team was excellent but at the nick of time the guidance officer was posted to some other unit. There was no experienced and confident guidance officer for the range practice where as the guidance officer plays a key role in such exercises.

I could not go with my unit for the range firing. My unit performed very well and it was a real surprise. All were happy and enjoying the success when Sqn.Ldr Job Mathew handed the paper to Wg.Cdr. Arun Kumar, commanding officer of my squadron, in which my prediction about the firing was written.

He was very impressed. When they came back to Hindon Airbase he appreciated my knowledge in Astrology and he started taking my advice for every important issue till my time in that unit. You will be surprised to know that he never believed in astrology before meeting me.

In my Air Force service I was always treated respectfully even by my seniors and all were good to me because of my knowledge in Astrology.

One day I was returning from Dhanori, via, Air force area. Before crossing the Air force gate I heard someone calling out my name. It was my old unit mate, Sharmaji (Jammuwale). I was very pleased to see him. The relation between the Defence personal and their colleagues is always very emotional, stronger feeling of own-ness unlike civil life.

“Oh! At last I have found you. I was aware that you are in Pune after you resigned Air force but I did not have your address to get in touch with you. I was very keen to meet you that I was thinking to take the help of newspaper to trace you by printing my appeal but I have found you now.”

He told me that my predictions about him had come true. He had met with a truck accident and suffered a severe head injury. He had recovered after being in coma for long. Things I had told him as a caution had happened the same way. So, he was very eager to meet me again to know about his future.

“Sir, I want your help to find my newly born nephew. From the Sasoon hospital, maternity ward somebody has stolen him. Everyone in the family is sad and tensed, especially; the child’s mother condition is very bad. We have tried our level best to trace him but all in vain. Even we have taken the help of police. Please, help me to trace him. I have lot of faith in you. Every time I have approached you with my problems you proved to be very accurate. We have no way to find him out and we are very helpless.”

I was really touched with his conversation over the phone. Just to console him I told him not to worry. “Already police is trying to trace him out and I am sure you will find him. Have faith in God.” After listening to me he became more sentimental and I could imagine that he was full of tears. He again requested that I should help him by my knowledge of Astrology, etc.

Horary Astrology is very accurate provided if somebody has faith in the Astrologer and if he is sincere in his question. In Uttar Kalamrita, kavi Kalidas, has strictly forbidden to predict if person is not physically present and asking the question with full sincerity because in such cases there is chances of wrong predictions. For the said reason I was in dual mind whether I should predict or not. But his sincere approach and the earlier experiences with him gave me confidence to predict about the missing child.

I noted the time of his calling, birth details of the child and the approximate date and time from when the child went missing. Then asked him to call me after half and hour. I casted different charts, calculated in different ways and came under conclusion that the child will be found within three days. When he again called me I conveyed the same thing to him. He thanked me and by his talks I felt that his was fully relaxed.

This incidence is again of Hindon. My flight commander Sqn. Ldr. Mishra asked me what would be the gender of the second child of another officer Flt. Lt. Balbir Singh. Flt. Lt. Balbir Singh’s wife was pregnant and was expected to deliver in few days. Their first child was a male child.

Sqd. Ldr. Mishra was a good officer but he had no much faith in Astrology. I could sense that this question was asked just to prove me wrong. It was a real challenge for me. I was getting an opportunity to prove my knowledge and to justify with the ancient science like Astrology. So, I calculated and studied the horary and other charts with my best interest to find the right answer. My written prediction was handed over to Sqn.Ldr Mishra but he did not read it instead sealed in an envelope and decided to open it after the child’s birth. After few days of delivery when Flt.Lt Balbir Singh joined his duty then Sqn. Ldr. Mishra opened the envelope and read my prediction in front of many officers present there. My prediction was “male child with caesarian” and to every body’s surprise the same thing had happened in reality too.

As his first child’s delivery was normal and the second pregnancy also seemed normal the Doctor expected a normal delivery. But since she started getting sudden labor pain before the expected delivery date they had no other option than operating her. After reading my prediction Sqn.Ldr. Mishra’s behavior and approach towards me totally changed. He came to me, patted my back and said, “Now I know why people praise you so much,”
